Its the end of the year
i do not have much to say about it. Actually, I prefer to let 2011 go away without any trouble. I just want to end this year with a bang and start a new year fresh. If I could ask myself of anything, it would be to make 2012 the best year for me.

Anonymous asked: Maybe you think movies like that are stupid, and don't help the problems in this world, but close-minded people like you don't help either. I hope you watched The Help, and I hope you figured out how to be open minded, and not judge everything by the trailer, or even the people on the front of the movie.

My favorite number 13...
I have been thinking about getting a tat for a looong time. Well, today, I was out driving between malls with my friend Stephanie and I say a spot named Tattoo 13. 13 is my favorite number, I was born on the 13th; its ironic since my life is filled with little luck. Anyways, I am going back to get my tat in January 13 probably at a shop on 13 mile road. I am so excited!  My favorite...

Shout-out to Ifrah!!
It takes courage to stand up and say to someone they haven’t seen for a while to stop debasing themselves. I really appreciate that. Its tough and I know I can’t sound terrible on myself.  “. Stop fallin into the pressure of society & stop being so hard on yourself.” Ifrah, I really wish we would have hung out more in HS

5 lbs heavier
Some may think I am overreacting but I am going crazy about the weight I have gained in the past month or so. (I believe its been within a month) I am devastated, disappointed, and disgusted at myself. I am aware that I can fix it within the next month. Weight is always in the back of my head and its a plight.. I want to evade the situation by saying society has me stressing out with the constant...

When someone loves you, the way they say your name is different. Black Men...
chasingkisha: According a new study by the College Board’s Advocacy & Policy Center, young Black and Hispanic men are heading down a path that is not positive at all. These staggering numbers are terrible to see being an African American myself. I can only see myself suffer when all these young men seem to be categorized as unemployed, incarcerated or six feet under. What are some solutions?...

Anonymous asked: Actually, The Help is about a white woman wanting to help black maids tell their stories of the awful (and some nice) things that have happened to them while being maids. In fact, the book and movie do not paint southern white women in a positive light. It's a pretty accurate portrayal of a lot of things that happened in Mississippi in the '60s. It's history. Don't always think...

After watching The Help
It was okay. I told you guys there was going to be a 60s R&B song! Honestly, there was nothing suprising about it. It was delightful to see the light Minny brought to Celia’s life. I appreciate the story. It could have been carried out in a stronger way. However, it was an okay movie. It was not a tear jerker for me, nor did it cause me to think in a different way. uneventful

I am about to watch 'The Help'...reluctantly
I am not looking forward to watching another film that could feed into white supremacy or the image of African Americans constantly “help” White Americans. We can blame movies such as The Blind Side(another movie I refuse to watch) for these reoccuring themes. This is loosely how the plot will go… White woman hires minority to do housework Minority women helps white woman in...
